dating advice -chicago style

You're just about to go out on a date and you want everything to go smoothly and you're thinking to yourself - no problem, I got this....and then you think about the last first date you had and everything went wrong. That is why you need to go into each date with a plan of sorts. To help, we've put together a simple list to follow. Here goes:

- FOCUS ON GETTING TO KNOW THEM.

You already know you and your stories are not as exciting as you think they are.

- LEAVE THE BITCH AT HOME.

Yes, I'm talking about the dog....what did you think I was talking about. Nobody needs to see you fawning over a pet and feeling like they are fighting for time with you.

- LEAVE COMPLAINTS IN THE COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENTS.

Speaking of dogs, there is nothing that turns a date into a dog like someone complaining about their job, their family, their problems in life.  Make a point of avoiding negativity on your date and catching yourself if a subject comes up that makes you want to unload your problems on someone.

- BE YOURSELF, THEY MIGHT ACTUALLY LIKE THAT.

If you like onions on your burger, ask for them, make a point of telling your date that you like onions and encourage them to take whatever they like so that they can enjoy. Life is short, eat onions and ask for that second scope of ice cream.

- COMPLIMENT YOUR DATE

Just trust me on this one.

- TIP WELL.

Having positive people around you on your date goes a long way so make a extra effort to be super nice to those that you encounter on your date and Tip well. You won't believe how great it will make you feel, how great of a mood it will put you in, your date in and the little surprises that happen when servers know that you care about them - as much as you hope your date is having fun.
